MISSION STATEMENT
We WORSHIP God who makes himself known to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We SHARE with each other in the dynamic love of God.
We SERVE God in the community in which he has set us.
We PROCLAIM the Good News of God through word and action.
We GROW in faith as we look to God as Lord of our lives.
We WILL…...
- WELCOME into fellowship and uphold in prayer those being baptised, joined in marriage and knowing bereavement, and will have a special concern for the enquirer and confirmee.
- SEEK through pastoral care and the administration of the holy communion to bring comfort to the housebound, hospitalised, those in residential homes/facilities and any separated by circumstances from God’s redeeming love.
- REACH OUT through the distribution of the Newsletter, systematic visiting of homes, fellowship groups, and links with Cytun, local government, schools, and voluntary organisations.
- FORWARD work with young people, foster recruitment/training/funding of workers/helpers, sustain all-age worship, and support relevant deanery/diocesan youth initiatives.
- OFFER companionship and spiritual care to ALL older members of the community.
- EMBRACE the worldwide mission of the Church through teaching, prayer and giving, and by maintenance/establishment of overseas links.
- UPHOLD the aim, purpose and objectives of the MU, and aid its work at home and abroad.
- APPOINT and support lay leadership to undertake this work of God- “…and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1. 8).
