On 7 January, despite some unexpected overnight snow, around 75 people braved the elements to meet in Abermule Community Centre for a deanery gathering.
People gathered from Llanllwchaiarn, Aberhafesp & Newtown, Bettws Cedewain, Llanwyddelan & Tregynon, Kerry, Mochdre, Dolfor & Llanmerewig, to enjoy a 'hot pot' supper and entertainment from representatives of all parishes.

Representatives from each parish then took part in a 'revue', displaying a wide variety of impromptu theatrical talents, for everyone's entertainment.

And the finale of the evening was a public execution! Those of you of a nervous disposition may not wish to view the final set of photographs...
Mark reads the charges, Terry prepares to administer justice, and the accused looks guilty (or should that be nervous?)...
The accused kneels...
...the basket is placed in position...
Mark looks quite delighted at the prospect, as Terry cries 'Revenge!'
And they all lived happily ever after - thanks, no doubt, to some divine intervention!
