Adam Pawley
Hello there everyone!
Pictured here is myself Adam (29), with my wife Rachel and our two boys, Joshua (2) and Luke (8 months). The boys are a joy to us and certainly keep us fit! Raised in Leicester, I moved to Wales in 1999.
For the past three years we have been living in Cardiff, where I have been training at St Michael's College; Rachel has been a busy mum!
Prior to this I worked as a maths teacher in Wrexham, a statistical researcher for the National Assembly in Cardiff (as part of my maths degree), and I took a gap year course in the parish of Aberystwyth, where I met Rachel.
Raised in South Devon, Rachel moved to Wales in 1995. Prior to being a mum, Rachel studied at music college in Cardiff, before taking up posts in children's ministry in Aberystwyth, Wrexham and Cardiff.
Why am I training for ordination? And for that matter, why am I a Christian? Jesus Christ said, "Go and make disciples". I believe that Jesus Christ changes lives. The salvation and guidance for life that he offers to each and every one of us is too great and exciting not to take up, to great and exciting not to worship God for and I want somehow, by God's grace, to make this message known and to help others to do the same. The task no doubt unnerves me, but excites me very much. If Jesus Christ lives for us, then it is worth us living for him too!
